These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ShiftSignal (the "Service"), a shift-scheduling and sharing platform operated by Daren Green ("we", "our", or "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not create an account or use the Service.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and us.
ShiftSignal allows firefighters ("Firefighters") to record their shift schedules, watch patterns, and on-call availability, and to share this information with family members or other trusted individuals ("Viewers") through an invite-only system.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We strive to keep the Service running reliably, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Shift schedules are for informational purposes only; the Service is not a substitute for official rostering systems operated by fire and rescue services.
ShiftSignal is free to use for London Fire Brigade firefighters and their families. We reserve the right to introduce paid tiers in the future, with reasonable notice to existing users.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account on ShiftSignal. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

The ShiftSignal name, logo, and the Service's design and code are our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our prior written permission.
You retain ownership of the data you input into the Service (shift schedules, notes, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store and process this data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you and your authorised viewers.
Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.
You may stop using the Service at any time and request deletion of your account by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms or if we reasonably believe your continued use poses a risk to the Service or other users.
Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ShiftSignal and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of £100 or the amount you have paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ShiftSignal and its operator from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
